ZAPLET ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by IROCA, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ZAPLET.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo.
- Contact Data: Business card information you scan or manually enter, including names, companies, phone numbers, email addresses, and websites.
- Location Data: GPS coordinates when you scan a business card (with your permission), used to tag where you met a contact.
- Camera Data: Images captured when scanning business cards. These are processed for OCR and stored in your account.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including card views, shares, and saves.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the ZAPLET service
- Extract contact information from business card images using AI/OCR
- Enable NFC and QR code sharing features
- Display your networking map with GPS-tagged contacts
- Provide analytics on your card's performance
- Sync your data across devices in real time
- Send important service notifications
- Improve and develop new features
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Row-level security policies on all user data
- Secure cloud storage for card images
- Authentication via Google OAuth 2.0
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent: When you share your digital card via NFC, QR, or link, the recipient receives your card information.
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party services (Google, Supabase) that are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Third-Party Services
ZAPLET uses the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In: For authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Vision API: For OCR text extraction from business card images.
- Google Maps: For the networking map feature.
- Supabase: For database, authentication, and file storage.
6. Camera & Location Permissions
ZAPLET requests the following permissions:
- Camera: Required to scan business cards. Images are processed locally and uploaded to your secure account.
- Location: Optional. Used to tag where you met a contact. You can deny this permission and the app will still function.
- NFC: Required to share and receive business cards via NFC tap.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@zapletapp.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
ZAPLET is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data (available via the Export feature in the app)
- Opt out of certain data processing
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of ZAPLET after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
